Hey all,
So I'm buying my first mac come the iMac refresh next week. I'm going for the 27" but buying it with stock RAM so I can upgrade it myself. I am currently selling my custom built PC piece by piece and when I was taking out the RAM it hit me that this may be compatible in the iMac (I've never upgraded / even owned a mac so not sure, wanted to double check).
According to this (which is for the current generation)
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4255
It sounds like the RAM i have would work. This is the RAM

Also, this is probably an easy question to look up but while I'm here I thought I'd ask. How many dimm slots are there in an iMac. I know it shows max memory to be 16GB so I was thinking 4 but I don't know. Also are memory specs / dimm slots looking to change with the new refresh? ie. 1666MHz , 32GB max, etc...
Thanks guys!
