Any one else pick up Mental Case awhile back? I was looking through my updates, and Mental Case wants to update to Mental Case Lite, while the developer is now offering Mental Case for $7.99. Needless to say, I'm not happy about this. The original app was free, but we picked up their desktop app to sync with, and that was $19.99. I think that if they're going to charge for their desktop app, then the iphone app should be free, or at least be a free upgrade for the people who already had it, and had been using it.

can't you not update? That way, you still be able to maintain a full feature app. The developer is lousy. How can he do this when you guys have been loyal customers.

I can update, but only to the lite version. If i want the full version, I'll have to pay $7.99. I had been using this app to make flashcards to study for my college courses, but I guess I'm just going to find something else to use. If they are going to do this, then I don't even want to use their Lite app.

I'm annoyed as well

I feel the same way. I hope the dev fixes this situation ASAP. I feel cheated by taking part in the company's limited time offer of the iPhone app (which is now only a lite version) and the desktop version for $19.95. Plus, the dev assured me he was adding the features I found lacking. Of course he never mentioned he would be charging for them.

Might want to contact Apple, and tell them your story as well. I'm not for sure, but I don't think the developer should be able to do this.

I will likely contact the dev first before I contact Apple. It does smell of bait and switch tactics. I'm pretty disappointed because the desktop version is quite nice. I expected the company to be a bit classier than this.
