Hey guys,

I'm needing some input for the designers on this forum...

In Scotland (UK) where I live, I am part of a project to build a "HUB" or "base" for young adults in the community with new / underlying mental health problems for somewhere to go to get advise / rest-bite / or to just relax and chill out.

We have 99% decided on calling it "the HUB" and the tagline is "Help U Better". (HUB).

What we are in need of now is some ideas for logos and graphics using this combination of text.

So if you have the time and or patience it would much appreciated for some brainstorming and mock-ups for the logo.

Any questions please ask if i have not made anything make sense as usually i don't lol!!

thanks guys,
RTJ

i don't know what to expect, but with the response I'm guessing that $$ is the main concern for people :(

will experiment myself and see what route we go down...

rip-the-jacker,

I were you, I would go to a local university (or college) that has a graphic design program and talk to one of the professors. See if they could make it a class project for their design students. When I was a university student, many non-profit groups would come in and offer a kind of competition for the students to design something. It was basically a way for them to get good, fresh ideas without having to really pay for them. The students didn't mind as we all needed experience and exposure. Sometimes there was a small prize for the top design but often times it wasn't much. Just a thought.

Follow Mecha's advice. When I was in design school, the community I live in wanted to update it's logo and took the project to my college. The winning design is everywhere, now. The gal who did the work received no pay, but had a nice portfolio piece.

Money may motivate professionals, but you don't know what you will get if you don't ask.

Nailed it.

No charge.

Whilst I recognise, and agree with, the frustration regarding the issue of people posting requests for 'free' design work, whether with good intentions or not, I do take exception to your post, (although I'm sure it was made in good humoured jest), as I find it a tad insulting with regards the good and important work that the OP and people like him do to help those afflicted by mental health problems.

Objection noted. It was just a joke, and admittedly, not the wittiest one. Clearly a little more brainstorming would have helped.

But perhaps you are being a tad too sensitive. I wasn't trying to pass judgement on mental illness or belittle its impact on humanity.
