Has any one else encountered this odd bug when switching between spaces? The drop down app menus seem to disappear but will then reappear when you click on the menu bar or move over to another space. Screen Shot 2015-03-20 at 13.34.39.jpg

Any ideas? It seems to only happen when moving from one desktop to another using mission control while the Finder is active.

I just created 3 desktops and switched between them with finder open. All three windows had the correct menubar on each of them. A couple of things to try. Repair permissions, reboot and see if the issue goes away. Next create a new user, reboot, login to the new user and see if the issue still happens.

Thanks for getting back to me. I have tried all of the above but the issue is still persisting. I wonder if it's worth doing a clean install, or maybe that's more trouble than it's worth.

If you explain in more detail how you created the issue that might help. Maybe I was not doing the same thing the way you were doing it to recreate the issue.

I get this bug about a 2-3 times a week. Haven't been able to reproduce it, but it has to do with multiple Desktops.

If you want to find out if a clean install will solve the issue, I would suggest you create a new partition on your internal hard drive and install Yosemite to the new partition. Don't re-install anything on the new partition just leave it as the basic install system. Boot to the new partition and then see if the issue goes away. This way you can test it out without affecting your primary install.

Let's hope 10.10.3 solves this.

Yeah i think i may have to do, or perhaps wait for 10.10.3 then if it's still not resolved go for a clean install.

Just in case anyone is interested, I went to my local apple store today and managed to reproduce the bug on all of the 13 inch retina macbook pros that i tested. So i'm guessing it is a widespread bug. Hopefully apple fixes this in the next Yosemite release.
