menu bar icons disappeared

Installed the latest safari update from the app store and now some of my icons disappeared from the menu bar. What's going on? Any fixes? Heres the link to a screenshot I took.

Do the icons reappear when you change to dark mode?

Never tried but restart didn't help

Which icons? Those relating to some extensions? Maybe they need updating or aren't compatible.

tried dark mode, no help. actually all of the "first" party icons like wifi, sound...etc. If you see my screenshot, its apparent.
