Just updated to Monterey on M1 mac, but the weird issue is that all the menu bars on top of the screen are not switching to dark mode, instead they have this bizarre, ugly pinkish, blood-in-water gradient hues in corners making menus and icons unreadable. How do I correct this?

Gradient hue is gone (thanks) but menu bar on top still doesn't switch to dark mode. It just stays the same in both light and dark mode.

Ah sorry I thought you meant window tinting.

The menu bar is always the same no matter dark or light mode.

If you want a dark menu bar you can reduce translucency in Accessibility preferences, but then you lose translucency everywhere, or create a wallpaper with the top something like 50 pixels set to dark grey or whatever colour you want.
