So, I tried searching on this but wasn't able to find an answer.

Sometimes, say after I open something in Preview, and then close it, the entire TOP menu bar will disappear. Sometimes, only all the icons on the RIGHT side of the menu bar will disappear?

I'm not in full screen mode on any of these applications, and a click on the finder or front most app will bring it all back, but I can't for the life of me figure out why it is happening.

Here is a screenshot with the issue. This is 10.8.2 (without the supplemental added) on a stock out of the box MBRr, 15" that just came from the factory.

For me, sometimes (1/10) the menubar not appears when I boot into ML. Then it only appears if I start an app or make something that changes the "Finder File Edit..." area.

Common problem even after all updates are applied i.e. build 12C60...

Even Lion has that problem...
