I just recently purchased mercenaries 2, and installed windows vista ultimate edition on my Macbook Pro, its 2.4GHZ, 4 Gigs of RAM and has a 256MB Graphics card (Nvidia GeForce 8600GT).

I installed the game succesfully, and was able to run the game perfectly up until the first boat ride. I was able to sit still and watch the environment and waves crashing, but every single time I started to drive anywhere, the game would crash.

I returned the disk, and they replaced it, SAME PROBLEM.

Can anyone tell me if this is a graphics/sound driver problem? and if so, how can I correct it?

If your 8600 is taking a dive, you'll know when your display just doesn't turn on one day. Not a big deal.

You shouldn't have a problem with Merc2 on the MBP tho. It ran fine on mine when I borrowed it for a bit. Try running that bootcamp driver update utility in windows?
