iPod Merge Artists?

In my artist screen, I have 2 entries for "The Allman Brothers Band" One entry has only one song, and everything is spelled the same for each artist and sort artist.

How do I merge the songs into one artist file?

I also can't seem to locate my ITunes library on my hard drive. There is a file with that name, but only contains two songs?

Any help would be appreciated

It could possibly be something easy to miss, like an additional space after the artist name in the song info. As far as where your music is actually located on the system, by default on a Windows system, it would be in My Music/iTunes Music, and on a Mac computer it would be in Macintosh HD/Users/(user)/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music.

To ensure they all have same artist name, highlight all the tracks (with both spellings), right click, select "Get Info" and re-type the artist name. All should now be the same.

Also make sure the Compilations is checked as NO
