Hi everyone,

So I'm new to this forum & I just wanted some advice on how to merge video files together. I know how to do it, I just want to know if there's software out there that will let me do it a little differently.

What I'm trying to do is add a group of files I want to merge to a conversion queue. So, say I wanted to add 5 videos & merge them into one file, then add that 'project' to the queue & merge another 5 videos into a different file, then add that to the conversion queue. But all the software I've tried will only let me merge one group of videos at once, & if I try to add the project to a queue it won't work. All I want to do is set a load of videos converting & leave it overnight (I have loads to do), but right now since it only lets me merge one group of videos at once I have to wait until they are done before I start the next lot. I can't add a batch of videos & seperately select the ones I want to merge either (which would make it so much easier). Very annoying.

I'm using Movavi Video Converter, Macx Video Converter Pro, Aimersoft Video Converter Ultimate. I don't think Handbrake lets you merge video files, but I could be wrong.

Have you looked at Automator at all? If you can set up one task and your software supports Applescript you might be able to use a workflow to repeat the process.
