I have an glitch with the Messages App and I could use your advice to correct it. This issue existed in previous iOS versions so its not unique to iOS 17.

When I open the Messages app on my iPhone or iPad, the name at the top of the app screen is not mine. The name is someone I know, but its not my name (Paul). I am the original owner of the devices and purchased them new. When I send a message the recipient sees my name as the sender, etc so that is good. The only glitch is the name shown on my Messages screen. I looked through iCloud on my iPhone and didn't see anything that relates to this glitch.

That is a pinned contact. Long-press it and tap unpin to remove it from the top.
