Message Board Suggestions

Hey everybody.

I just shut down my message boards on my site due to spamming with horrific text and posts. That was on phpBB. I could not for the life of me figure out how to turn off the Guest feature. I didn't really like phpBB anyways.

Now I need new suggestions. I have been looking at Vanilla at Lussumo. It looks very good. Anybody else like it? Any suggestions?

I'm looking for software that is free and has decent spam blocking. Thanks guys.

On phpBB you have to turn off the guest feature on each individual forum.

Open Source CMS lets you try out a ton of different programs on their site. Look in the "forum" section.
I REALLY like Simple Machines.
