All iPads Message handoff with iphone - Not working - Pls help

Hi All,

Very impressed with Numbers Spreadsheet app today! My other half and I able to work on the same spreadsheet as both apple Users.
I’m trying the other eco system stuff avail now as well.


Message handoff with iphone - not working - pls help
I’ve tried the standard help guide on the apple website: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT209455
No Joy unfortunately. I’ve got both the ipad and the iphone set up correctly


The issue:

1. When I start typing out a message on ipad, iphone is not showing the icon to say I can pick up on iphone


2. When I start typing out a message on iphone, The ipad shows the icon to say I can pick up on iphone
However when I click on it:
- It goes to the correct person
- BUT is a blank message. Not the half message for me to finish off on the ipad.


3. At one point the ipad magic keyboard totally froze, when I was repeatedly trying this. 1st time ever. I restarted ipad. Same issues still though.



Where am I going wrong?
I am right in thinking that clicking the icon should take me to the half finnished message aren’t I?

PS: I’ve tried other stuff, that works:

1. Copy paste
- Copy from 1 device
- Paste from the other.

2. Safari handoff
- works

Are your iPhone and iPad both on the same WiFi connection?

Yup.

Have also tried a number of other things, no joy!

Even updated both to 13.6.1 Just now

same issue.

Oh well, 2 out of 3 not bad.

Will stop wasting anymore time on this today.

Will get back to numbers etc
