I've given up on my technical ability to solve this issue as I have yet to find a setting for it in any menu and google has not been my friend.
Summary:
If I receive a message alert with my phone locked, it appears on the lock screen. If I unlock the phone and then open the Notification Center (swipe down), the notifications are not present there. The Messages app will show the appropriate unread count on the badge however.
I recall the behavior above being normal once upon a time and the above behavior is how all other apps with notifications behave on my phone.
Did this behavior change for messages at some point? My settings for Message notifications have not changed and they specify that Messages notifications should be displayed in the notification center and on the lock screen. Messages received while unlocked are correctly placed in the Notification center. Also, while a notification is on the lock screen, if I pull down the notification center, the message notification will appear there (as well as other notifications) - and it will stay there until I address the message or I clear the notification.
Any insight into this behavior?
Thanks!
