In Yosemite, the Messages app has new alert sounds matching iOS's, and that's all wonderful, but they removed the old message received sound (the bloop sound). However, the file is still inside of Messages.app's resources as "Received Message.aiff".

But, there is no way in Messages preferences to change it back to this. I've dug around in the plist files for Messages (com.apple.iChat.plist), but there is no setting from what I see where it selects the notification sound you select in Preferences (the default one now is called Note).

So, anyone have any idea on how I can get the Received Message.aiff back as the alert sound for iMessages?

Thanks!
