If I send an image through Messages to my girlfriend and immediately send a text reply straight after it doesn't look like it sends the text reply as the image is still being sent. In fact, any text I send while the image is going through is accompanied by a red "!" icon, suggesting that the message is not being sent.

The problem is, my girlfriend is still being sent the message (see the screenshot). Anyone know how to get rid of these error icons?

Thanks in advance!

I've only had 2 send-receive issues with Messages and iMessages between me and my wife and both were resolved by me doing the following:

- Log out of Messages
- Quit the app
- Restart the Mac
- Launch Messages
- Log back in

I had issues with a client. After the Lion>ML upgrade, everything worked fine. After a few days I did a clean ML install and iMessage stopped working from Mac to Mac, but I could still send my client iMessages to his iPhone. Now it works again, so I guess it's some server issues from Apple.

I stopped using Messages just because of the errors. Even after 10.8.2 it's still unusable for me… A shame really because iMessage is my main communication usage on my iPhone with friends. Typing on the computer is so much easier but almost no messages are delivered.
