Messages App on iPhone crashing and not responding (2021 issue) Plz help!

I have been having this problem for months now.
Started on the iPhone 11.
The message app crashes, or not responding for a period of up to 5 minutes at times, this happens a few times a day.
Called apple, they asked me to do reset, hard reset and now they asking me to drop off the phone to be checked, but its not a phone issue as I bought an iPhone 12 as I was hoping this issue would stop, but it hasn't.
I tried to delete all messages for more than 30 days. I tried to unclick messages on iCloud.
Nothing works.
I have set up messages to go to 3 other devices, which would be the problem, but this is a feature that i use for my business.
Anyone got any tips? i dont know what else to do here.

Not the same issue but I knew someone with an iPad that just wouldn't sound a certain notification. Didn't get it figured out until that person got a new iPad and restored it from the backup of the first iPad…and it did the same thing.

Apparently, there was some sort of corruption in the system only brought on by restoring from the backup. Restoring from new and doing a setup from scratch was the only way to get it to work properly.

I have done a full reset from zero and reinstalled all apps etc. took me forever. the issue still persists. i think its because I have text message forwarding to 3 other devices.. anyone?
