Messages don’t send or send slowly if at all on iOS 18 DB4.2.

I am not seeing this discussed but I have done a fresh install as well and keep seeing messages fail to send or send super slowly on iOS 18 db4. I’ve never had so many issues with a beta before and am clearly disappointed in Apple and how bad their software has gotten.

These OS updates have little in the way of new stuff and Apple is becoming more content to release things later instead of at release because I think they don’t have the same talent they once did. Clearly not the same Apple so if anyone has updated I would skip the betas till RC or later. It’s been trash for my devices for very little if any in the way of features. Anyone else having this happen or found a solution? Toggling off RCS did nothing.

Hate to point out the obvious but it’s a Beta so why are you considering it “Bad Software” when it’s a work in progress and not a finished product?

I guess you didn’t read at all what I wrote and stop using tapatalk. It’s broken as well in the update.

B4 and still lots of issues, and major ones. Your post illustrated it beautifully. How an operating system with such minimal changes can have this many issues is absolutely beyond me. And now with the news that Apple intelligence is going to be delayed as well even further emphasizes my point. They’re not able to achieve what they set out to do and unless there’s some monumental update coming in September with the iPhone 16 that we’re not aware of, this is a pretty mundane update this year from what I can see on all fronts

And lastly, I’m warning others of critical issues that I wished I had known because I can’t roll certain things like my Apple Watch back and I’m not going to trust the idiot bar to do that either because they are one not close to not competent.

Are you talkin about SMS/MMS messages? If so I have had the same issue on iOS 18. Went back to iOS 17 and bam they start workin

This was both and it’s sporadic. Now they go fast or slowly. I have another phone messages is completely f’d and will need to be wiped.
