I upgraded to iOS 5 this morning but I didn't have time to resync my phone from the backup before I had to go to school. I figured I would be ok without any contacts or apps etc. for a day, and I just wanted to play with the new features so I didn't do the update and when my iPhone asked how to set it up, I selected set up as a new iPhone.

So today I got home and synced, and it looks like everything got transferred back as it should, except my messages.

Obviously this isn't a huge deal, but I like to have my messages for references just in case I need to remember something someone told me a while ago. What can I do to get them back?

Oh, and I have my phone set to sync with computer, not iCloud, if that makes a difference
