Messages Handoff Not Working Correctly

I'm having a weird issue and I want to know if anyone else is experiencing the same thing.

Safari Handoff works perfectly for me. If I'm on a website on my iPad or iPhone, it'll transfer to my MacBook and vice versa. However, whenever I'm writing a message and I want to switch to another device, it doesn't transfer the text I've already typed. Sometimes, it'll just open up the conversation thread I was in, other times it'll simply open up the messages app.

This happens no matter which device I switch from/to. Bluetooth on, Wifi on and on same network, Handoff enabled, Yosemite and 8.1 on all devices.

Any ideas? Anyone else experiencing the same thing?

Sadly that is the current design. Perhaps in the future you'll be able to do what you're trying to do.
