Messages was working fine in the latest DP for about a week.. Now it just beachballs if i mouse over it.

A couple of times i've accidentally left it running in that state and come back to my computer to a "low on system memory" pop-up. In activity monitor Messages was taking up 60GB of RAM!

I have 16GB of RAM.. But yeah, does anyone have any idea how to fix this? I use screen sharing a lot to help family members out with stuff and can't at the moment.

Thanks!

Don't install Developer Previews if you rely on it for things like this. Always install on a separate partition.

I actually disagree.. It's not the most important functionality I rely on, was just curious if anyone had seen it and had a fix! It's always a gamble.

But the next DP is out soon, I'll see if that fixed it.

Weirdly even since the first DP Yosemite works more reliably for video editing than Mavericks ever has on my set up.
