Messages scrolling problem

Hi folks,

I'm having a problem with Messages on Mountain Lion: in XMPP group chats, when new messages arrive, the chat window doesn't scroll to show them, I have to manually scroll down to reveal any new messages. This doesn't happen in normal 1 to 1 chats.

Anybody else seen this or have any idea how to fix it?

Same behavior here. Chat rooms on my company's XMPP server work fine, but group chats started by other users on their gmail webpage do not automatically scroll to the most recent message.
