Since I updated to 14.2 last night, I'm having major syncing issues with Messages - has never happened before. I keep getting this "Syncing with iCloud" message at the bottom of Messages, which also shows I have unread messages (not true). I've never even seen that message before, and neither a reboot nor a logout/login to Messages on the Mac fixed it. Is anyone else having this problem?

Update: I'm also seeing sync issues with Outlook for Mac. That's never happened before, either. Not sure if they're related, but an odd coincidence.

Update 2: I discovered that some messages had gone to my "unknown sender" folder on my phone, which explained why my Mac still showed I had them. I deleted those messages and fixed the unread message issue. That said, I'm still getting the "Syncing with iCloud" message. Really weird.

I'd let it sit for 2 or 3 days before really troubleshooting. In all likelihood it'll sort itself out given enough time.

Since I updated my iMac to 14.1.2, message and contacts apps are no longer responding. iPhone message settings indicate that iMac and iPad are both devices that can receive. At one point yesterday, I could see that the messages app on iMac received a message but the application wouldn’t open and was not responding so couldn’t view it. Anyone have any creative solution? I would be gratefu.
