On message app on my iMac I only have one person that shows up in contacts and that is another iMessage user, is there a way to add non iMessage users to my iMac message app.

Also my conversations on my iPhone do not show on the iMac, that may have something to do with this, idk.

Are you talking about the left column of conversations?
Everyone shows up there for me, whether they use an iPhone and Messages or not
I have several Android users there

yes the left column on my phone does not reflect on my iMac. I'm looking in settings now and do not see anything that I could have incorrect.

So, if I understand correctly, you have conversations on your phone that aren't showing up on your iMac?
Are you logged into the same Apple ID on both devices?
Do you have "text message forwarding" enabled for your iMac from you Phone?
Settings > Messages > Text Message Forwarding

Yes that is what I'm trying to convey, I am logged into same account.

I went to (on my phone)settings>messages> but there is no option for text message forwarding.
I have a iPhone 6plus all up to date and a new iMac all up to date

On you iMac from the Messages app
Under Preferences > Accounts > (your Apple ID account)
Is your phone number listed under "You can be reached for messages at:"

Is iMessage turned on in that menu? Do your texts from iPhone friends come as Blue or Green. If they are Green, then you are using regular texting mode, not iMessage.

No it is not, all of my mail accounts are listed but not my phone number.
I just tried to add that to the list and used my Apple ID password where it asks for a password but it did not work, It still does not show up on the list.

Yes it is turned on

Maybe try logging out of Messages on both devices and then sign in again. It's curious that forwarding isn't showing as available on your phone, though. That's why I thought maybe you had iMessages turned off there.

Well I found the solution but I'm really not sure what I did to get here.
Before my phone number was not listed as one of the contact and there was no way I could add it it seemed.
after leaving my phone alone a while I come back to it and it has my phone number listed and is asking me if I want to send text to and from my iMac..
Now I also have the "Text Messaging Forward" slider and of course that is now turned on.It defiantly was not even on the screen before.
I did not turn the phone or computer on or off when I left it and I did not sign out of my accounts yet.
Strange but I'm glad it's fixed...Thanks to you both for replying and helping.
