iPhone Messed up 3GS Jailbreak

Just bought a 3GS to cover me until the new one comes out, but the power button isn't good.
I've gone into Redsn0w and created a DFU IPSW but it didn't work as it didn't get put into DFU as it was supposed to do.

Now, after restoring using the IPSW that Redsn0w created I am stuck on the activation screen and can't even get to the Restore point in iTunes. I could do that before. As I don't have a valid simcard (I want to unlock) I'm now completely stuck.

Please help

Bought a Vodafone sim to get past that, but now on Redsn0w its stuck on Downloading Jailbreak Data

Think I'm getting too old for jailbreaks

looks like u are on windows. simply un Redsn0w in windows service pack comatibility mode and then try to JB. you will be done.
