I was wondering if anyone has had the same problem I had. I rented Super Bad in HD. My receiver indicated I was getting 5.1 DD but the channels were all messed up. The "center" channel was actually my left surround and my "left and right" channels were used as surround info. My right surround wasn't working at all. anyone encountered this?

A co-worker of mine was complaining to me about something similar this morning so I just tried it out also.

What I got was no center channel what so ever and all of the talking equally coming out of the front/rear speakers.

I encoded an HD Episode of Lost with VisualHub and it played correctly.

Superbad is the only movie I've rented but I'm 99% sure it is a problem with Superbad. That is now 3 people who have had a problem with this particular movie which is unfortunately the #1 rented movie.

Have you tried any other movies? Kinda hesitant at this point. Whoever did the mix really screwed it up.

Thanks for responding

Thanks for responding. This was my first movie. I plan to rent another one later tonight. I'm hoping it was just that movie that had the problem.
