Messed Up Activation Process on iPhone 4s

so i just got the iphone 4s, upgrading from my iphone 3gs, using the same number. I wanted to transfer the same number to my new iphone 4s, but i was stupid and mindlessly clicked the action 'create new iphone' or whatever in the activation process, instead of 'get from itunes' or whatever. i also just realized that i cant use my sim card from the 3gs. SO HOW CAN I GET MY NUMBER ON MY NEW PHONE?!?!?!?!?!?!? HELPPPPP MEEEE! IS THERE ANYWAY TO REDO THE ACTIVATION? OR SOMEHOW TRANSFER MY NUMBER? PLEASE HEL ME

Here is a tip:

1) Go to settings>general>reset>erase all content and settings
2) Your phone will be just like the iOS 5 start up
3) Restore from iTunes
