Hello there!

I have really messed up my Imac.

I was on Skype talking with some friends, when my microphone suddenly started to sound strange, makeing noices like "bzzz" and "brrr" you get the point.

So I was troubleshooting my external soundcard (siberia usb). And that was my issue the strange noices where made out of that. So I unplugged it and was going for the internal microphone but that microphone didnt wanna work.

Then I plugged in the usb-soundcard again to check if that would work. Nope, and it said "mute" on it aswell, and it dosnt wanna unmute.

So my question is can I unmute the internal microphone somehow from within my computer, or do I need to get my siberia soundcard to work again?

Have you tried resetting you mac? That should sort out your problem (well it did on my old Windowz machine)

Haha, old style MS solveing ;)

Tried that one, didnt work! :( My soundcard still says "mute" :/

Driver conflict? I'm unfamiliar with your Siberia device... does it require installed drivers? That may have forcefully muted your internal mic.
But definitely try rebooting.

Nope I didnt install any drivers for the Siberia soundcard.

Yeah I tried rebooting but nothing changed.
