iPhone Messenger app swipe stutter

Anyone else having issues with facebook messenger not being as smooth on the 11 pro max vs the xs max? It’s the swipe back gesture that’s visibly a lot stuttery on the 11 pro max. Already tried deleting the app, soft reset, restoring, to no avail.
