Where can I download the latest (or the one that works...as if you were using it on a PC) msn for IMac?

I've been searching but there are so many different versions?? 3.0? 8.0? beta version? mercury..???

I saw on yahoo.com that you can download the 3.0 beta version msn for IMac there... will that work? I have heard so many different types of messenger and different types of versions # (plus some bugs peoples have been experiencing).

Can someone please help me? :)

if you don't use msn for the video chat functions, use adium. http://adium.im/ simpler, integrates the most popular chat programs into one and is pretty straight forward.

Adium sounds good :). I only used msn for text chatting.

Is adium easy to use, and easy to download?

Also, what's the difference between Adium and Yahoo! Messenger for Mac 3.0 BETA? What was your experience if you used both?

I've used MSN for Mac 7.x, aMSN, Mercury MSN and Adium and I can easily say that Adium is in it own class. Others are buggy and ugly but Adium is great. Adium is OS X only BTW

I downloaded Adium and so far I like it, but I noticed that this one doesn't show you the option of checking your e-mails or noticing you that you've got new e-mails like the PC msn do.

You have MSN, right? Put it to Mail. I have mine in Mail and it's awesome.

Incoming mail server: pop3.live.com
Outgoing mail server: smtp.live.com

the websites won't open...what do those two do? and how can I make it work so that I can see my emails by Adium?
and I have downloaded Adium now.

Those aren't websites...

Go to Mail (I mean the app) -> Preferences -> Accounts -> Click + -> Type your name, e-mail (Hotmail address) and its password -> Select POP from drop menu -> Type pop3.live.com to Incoming mail server -> Type your username (e-mail address) and its password -> Type smtp.live.com to outgoing mail server -> Should work now

If you want, I can make a quick video guide how to make it.

I've always used Adium, and only the other day after installing Snow Leopard, decided to use a new skin.

So now my chat windows look identical to the SMS of the iPhone. :D

thank you so much for your help and patient :)

Question: the app is when I see Adium options on top of the screen on the left, right?

I went to Preferences of Adium -> Accounts -> Click + -> I don't know where it says I should put my name[/B], e-mail (I already had my e-mail address and the password there) -> Select POP from drop menu This is where i'm stuck and the rest...I can't find where is POP or what/where is the drop menu. :(

No, go to preferences in MAIL.
