Messenger Safari password issue

I can sign in to my messenger 8.0.1 no problems, but when I choose the mail button, I get redirected in safari to login.live wrong password and will have to re-enter it to work. same happens with Firefox. Also tried re-entering password in messenger and preferences - account.
did that in Lion and now in Mountain Lion. on Mac Pro, and now Retina, any ideas?

so after reading up and found that others are having the same issue without a solution for the problem which seems to be from messenger 8.0.1 and Microsoft is not supporting .
out of all this I suggest to use eMSN instead of messenger and slowly switch over to skype ...
