Messy artist pages

I kind of have the urge to organize the album lists of big artists on Apple Music.

Personally I have a lot of respect for artists like, for example, Tori Amos. Yet her page there are hundreds of live albums, ep's and singles. Not really organized to when they came out or anything.

Any other artists that have a messy list?

I think they all do. As far as I can tell, all that supposed human curation that Reznor and Cue went on about has not made its way to the artist pages.

Everything Apple Music seems extremely unorganised. Maybe I just have OCD, but it annoys me even just using the service. Apple are generally good at making their services easier to use than competitors, however it doesn't seem to be the case here.

Artist pages on Spotify and other services are pretty much the same. This is a problem with streaming services in general. They are just a big dump of songs and albums that have been licensed from the labels. I don’t think there's a lot Apple can do about this in the short-term, which is why they are focusing on curated playlists that give you a guide to the disorganised mess that is theirs (and everyone else’s) streaming library.

I don’t think it’s a big issue, especially since once you’ve added stuff to your library you are free to organise it as you wish, including correcting metadata, etc.

So can I add as much albums as I want for offline playing and keep them for ever on my drive? That pretty much makes all my albums that I own superfluous!

Not quite. You can keep them only for as long as you are subscribed and for as long as those songs are available on Apple Music.

Too bad! But still, all things considered.. that must be a huge space saver on my hard drive to just choose the music I want to listen to before I leave the house every day.

I guess you don't have any specific idea of how long I would be able to stream Apple Music on a 3g network with 1 gigabyte per month? Guessing offline is the way to go.
