Hmm. I'll reserve judgment until we actually see real gameplay. I'm frustrated by big name games coming to the iPhone and being actually "lesser" versions or simpler versions. (Lego Batman, The Force Unleashed, etc).

Yeah, it's never going to compete with a console version but the iPhone should be able to run a decent version. If it's costlier then other games, so be it, as long as it's worth it.

Well Hideo does not release crap, and I don't believe he would ruin the franchise name by passing off some crappy version of the game. Having played the PSP versions of Metal Gear as well as the console versions I feel the iPhone can easily create a good metal gear solid spin-off.

Oh and lets hold off on breaking the price point for iPhone games 9.99 nothing more..

Why? If a developer can make a great game with higher dev costs and has to charge more for the app I'm all for. None of this "I'll only buy it if it's 99c nonsense".

I didnt say .99 did I? Lets look at the facts. The most expensive iPhone game to date has been $9.99. This simply is a Major fact in why the App Store has become so popular. I do think we are going to slowly get back into the 5.99 - 9.99 range for game all the time and these .99 days are going to end for the most part.

Though Apple and developers need these impose buys and 29.99 and 19.99 games for the iPhone simply are not that.

I think the price point is a Major reason the IDevice are and will continue to sell so well. If Games are DS and PSP costs Apple loses their advantage.

If it has high replay value, then I wouldn't mind it. But let us face the facts, it won't. 9.99 is the best price if it is good enough for one go.

Especially when confined to just single player....

I'm going to make a huge guess, based purely upon these three screenshots that it's going to be Time Crisis for iPhone, but with MGS skins on top. This is not necessarily a bad thing... :)

Yeah, it does look a little ... simple.

It may not have the polished graphics of MGS4, but it's MGS on a phone. I don't think the graphics look bad for the platform they're running on.

Whether gameplay is too simplified due to the input options available is a whole other matter, though.:)
