Does anybody currently use a program to add tag information to your movie files on a pc. I've used MetaX on my mac and it works great. The interface is really nice but it only supports macs. All my movies are stored on my pc desktop and I would like to add the tag information without having to transfer my movies to my mac. Any ideas? Thanks.

Why not just setup a shared directory or folder on your Windows machine so that you can see it from your Mac. Once that is done, you can just run MetaX from your Mac using the file from your PC without ever copying it to your Mac. :apple:

Great Idea

Thanks for the idea. I don't know why but I never thought of that. Thanks.

Is there anything simliar to MetaX for a PC?

I only have a PC at home, currently I'm manually adding screen captures for my movies and its really tedious.

Thanks

Yes, thats what I'm doing currently, but its a tedious process.

I have to pull down a DVD cover, edit the picture, then add it as artwork.

It would be really nice to have this done automatically.

Thats pretty cool using the posters.

I have been going to IMDB and editting up the DVD covers but I like the poster thing better.

Thanks for the suggestions

A windows App you should look for is WinAP. I use it all the time for input my information for iTunes video content. It also allows you to select the media type (TV, Movie, Music Video) of the video you are working with. I am not sure of where to get it online, so you might just want to google it.

The "over the network" thing that was suggested for MetaX between Macs and PCs doesn't work well at all. I tried this solution over a g network and since MetaX basically creates a new video with the included tags, it takes forever. Just a heads up from my experience.

I can't find this app for the life of me. Can you post a download or possibly host it somewhere?

I also agree about tagger, I don't have the artwork tab either which to me, makes the app useless.
