I have done movie tagging using MetaX and also realized now that using iTunes when we get "Info" on that file, we can also attach movie cover and also can add title , description etc. This is more easy for me than running yet another application like MetaX.

So, what is the difference between using MetaX vs iTunes Info edit way?

Because MetaX can add actors, directors and ratings etc where iTunes can not.

and one more thing, u can tag multiple movies using metax and iTunes u can not with movies.

Thanks. Ok. That's useful to have all actors and other info.
BTW, why does it change file to .m4v format from .mp4?

Mine does not do that. Check your prefrences in Metax. That should do it. Also, check out www.getvideoartwork.com for ur cover art

Tagging with MetaX writes the information to the file so it's more 'permanent'. With tagging it iTunes you are just telling iTunes to remember certain information about the file (that gets stored in some mysterious .xml file).

So if you ever move your library or get a new computer - tagging it with MetaX means you will have all that information intact. If you go the iTunes route you will have to manually re-enter it.

I know it seems like an extra step - but tag it with MetaX. You'll thank me in the long run.

Thanks. Wow. I would have missed this writing all info to a file vs just application keep that info on yet another file. I will sure use MetaX and do it right first time even if it takes some extra time.

How does TagChimp work? I've searched the title in Metax but the only piece of information its added is one actor.

When I look on their site that films page has full tags but they don't copy.

Metax - how do you "write"

HI - I have loaded up my files in "Files to Write" box on the RH side of the window but the red arrow above entitled "Write and Share" is greyed out hence the final stage of Metax does not work - HELP ?!
