OS X Metro Last Light doesn't work on Mac after steam update?

Hi guys,
This game has currently gone on daily sale on steam, i was going to buy it till i went throughout the forums & saw that the mac version is broken & doesn't play after the steam client update, its been more then a week & still no fix, here is the thread regarding this issue & there are more threads also-

Anyone over here has the game & works fine after the steam client update? very sad news as we mac gamers suffer again from no support from the developers

Unfortunately, I'm also having the same problem, the game doesn't launch at all. Hopefully Deep Silver and Steam get a fix out soon, and stop neglecting Mac and Linux users.

Mine doesn't launch either. And I just bought it thinking I wouldn't need to reboot into Windows 7.

I have to say that my experience with steam support is no better than useless.

I have been following this on the steam forums and it looks like there is no fix coming in the near future and its been awhile so if you bought this game you are out of luck. Fortunately, I think you can still just play this on bootcamp if you purchased (I think) so its not a complete waste but its really bad news for Mac gaming since the message is buyer beware even on a major title like this.

I was about to buy the game when i saw it on sale on steam, some how i went throughout the forums & got SAVED, this is very sad for mac gamers & personally i feel Feral Interactive is the best developer for Mac games, their support for their games is exceptional Any feral game buy it without thinking twice, for the other developers please go through the forums

They're probably not going to fix it because they're pushing the new Redux bundle. Hopefully someone who purchased one or both of these games can weigh in to see if the issue is resolved. If so, it is profoundly ****ty that you're essentially being held to ransom in order to have a functional game.

Redux version will be only out for windoze & linux for now, the mac version might come end of the year, the issue also could be related to Steam as there are reports of people who bought the game from the Appstore that have no issues, so steam is no less for us Mac gamers in support also. Just be careful guys when buying mac games on steam, go through the forums before buying.

I learnt my lesson with steam ages ago, so now use it as a last resort for any games that I may want.

You have to watch Apple appstore games also, sometimes things are missing that are in the same game from elsewhere.
