Hellow.. :)

Waiting on my 24" iMac.. Waiting is unbearable, I'm checking TNT tracking status every few hours.. This will be my very first mac. But I was wondering..

I know there is a nice little camera built in. But is there a microphone built in as well, so I can use Skype? Or do I have to get a headset..?

These are very nice forums, by the way. Looking through interresting threads quite often. ;)

Yes, there's a mic right next to the camera. You may want a headset anyway, for all the reasons speakerphones can be weird to use.

The mic is next to the iSight. If you are planning to use voicechat/skype get a USB headset to avoid the feedback.

The Macs do not have a Mic connector, only a inline audio that looks the same.

I've used headphones and the onboard microphone on my iMac just fine. I don't get any complaints talking to on TeamSpeak or Skype.

Couldn't you use a bluetooth headset? I don't see why not, it being built in and all.
