I saw two mice for mac computers, (BTW, is mac all of the computers that apple makes including the laptops?) and the wireless one didn't have that scrolling thing that *brings up the dashboard*. It does that right? Why doesnt it have that thing? or does it?

Hey,

Yes, Macs are all of the computers that Apple makes. I have the bluetooth mouse (the wireless one) but no it does not come with the scroll wheel. You will want to get the mighty mouse if you want the scroll wheel. Yes, you can click in the scroll wheel to bring up the dashboard, but no they haven't put a scroll wheel in the bluetooth mouse. I heard speculation that they were making one, but hasn't hit the market yet.

My 2 cents would be to go with something other than a mighty mouse. I hate mine. I'm as much an apple fan as the next guy around here, but my MM is a serious POS. :(

I still think the best general purpose mouse available is the Logitech MX1000.

I hate the Mighty Mouse (would force me to change the way I've been mousing for ages), so I got the Logitech G7 wireless laser gaming mouse. It's a great mouse, just battery life sucks a lot.

I also despise the Mighty Mouse. The lack of side buttons, the awkward shape, and the overall poor performance are more than unacceptable. Do yourself a favor and opt for a Logitech or Microsoft offering. :)

I like my mighty mouse! Worst feature: the right-click doesn't function (on ANY mighty mouse) if your finger is resting on the left-click. Therefore, you have to LIFT your finger off of the left-click to click the right-click. Very un-apple, but what can you do.

The squeeze-expose makes it a winner in my book.

I'm shocked at how many people don't like th mighty mouse. I have loved mine since the day I got it. Works perfectly, no complaints at all.

I also love the feel of the scroll ball, it's like a little nipple :D

get the bluetooth apple mouse, it works really well (and you won't have any messy cords on your desk)...the mighty mouse is bad for your fingers.

I'm a huge fan of the M$ Intellimouse Explorer's. I have one on each of my machines (iMac, PowerBook and 2 PC's at work). I'm not a huge fan of M$, but it's just a mouse. And I picked them up for cheap on eBay. Battery life is outstanding on mine.

I had to many problems with my MM so Apple let me hold onto the MM and gave me the option of opting for any mouse i wanted instead. I decided against getting the MM as a replacement and opted for a Kensington studio mouse instead.

All new products are under guarantee for a year so if you are having problems and your mouse is under a year old there is no need to put up with it.

I had issues with the scroll bar on my MM and it was a shame because i did like that mouse. I tried all the remedying tips that have been posted here but at best when the mouse did respond it was only a short term solution and i personally felt that it is a bit much to be expected to do this all the time.

The thing with Apple's Bluetooth mouse is that it only has a one click option which is just not really suitable for some people.

hey, i have the wireless apple BT mouse and it is spectacular! i love it, i can't care less for the scroll as if i need to scroll i use the keyboard. What is pretty cool is that with my wireless apple KB and my lcd TV, i can sit across the room, mouse under right hand, keyboard under the left, and everything is sweet as!
