Hi,
My ipod hard drive blew again the other day. What i was just wondering is if i can buy any microdrive and then insert it in, would that work??? I have seen them upto 12GB on ebay and it would be cool to have an ipod mini that size.
Thank you for the answers,
Richard

Do your research carefully to make sure that you're getting the right size drive (1.8" I believe), but yeah..you can do it, just be careful not to break anything. Also, see if your iPod's under warranty first.

Its not under warranty. The first tme it broke, it was 2 days out of warrenty!!! Isn't the normal ipod a 1.8" one?? I though the mini's was only 1" but correct me if i am wrong.

should do, but don't blame me if it doesn't, i've never done it.

I think that should do it. I've seen some sites on the internet that swapped the microdrive by a compact flash card. Since they have the same numbers of pins, it was working without any adapter.
