No matter what I do, I can't get the Mic in my AirPods 2 (charging case) to work. Right...left... going into the settings and changing it to Automatically, or right or left and nothing.

Anyway to fix these?

Same problem. One day the mics just stopped working. Re-pairing, Bluetooth on/off, nothing works. Plus, they don't automatically shift between devices as they once did. I bought a 3.5 mm to lightning adapter to use ear pods. Won't buy new ones as I don't trust them now. If anyone has a fix I'd love to hear about it.

If they are still under warranty, bring it up with Apple.

If no warranty - perhaps try resetting them to factory defaults?

Finally, if you have an Apple Store, you could probably take it to a Genius to have a look at? Even if you have no warranty, they might have some tools/solutions?

Thanks for weighing in. Genius store is worth a shot. They are out of warranty and tried everything else to no avail.

I had three microphones go on AirPods 2, the first a day after they were out of warranty :)rolleyes:) and a new set I bought that were only about 6 months old when they went. Thankfully Apple replaced those ones under warranty. In both cases the microphones did sort-of work but I was very faint apparently.

My theory is the microphones come unglued or something and then move so that they are’t pointing out the bottom of the stems.
