Does anyone have advice on a microphone for a i7 iMac? Should I got USB or line-in? Also, would I be better off with condenser or dynamic? Does the i7 iMac even support line-in? If so, would I need some type of amp to increase the sound gain on the mic?

I plan to use it for podcasts, voiceovers, and just playing around in Garage Band/Logic Studio.

Any advice or even suggestions on a microphone are greatly appreciated.

I use that condenser microphone for VO, interviews and podcasts, the sound quality is superb.

Go with a usb condenser mic and use a pop filter and you'll get pro results

The new iMacs have line-in, not mic inputs. So just a mic won't work in most cases.

There are loads of nice USB mics out there, I've used Blue Microphones and like them. But there are tons of others. USB is probably your best bet.

Get a USB mic, I am personally using Blue Yeti and highly recommend it a very good mic.
