This might be common knowledge, but I just found it out this morning, so wanted to pass it along. Although there is no longer a Microsoft Authenticator app for the Apple watch, you can still use the watch to approve/ deny logins. This only works when there is an Approve/ Deny pop-up, not if you have to type in numbers. But it does work.

You need to make sure that the setting 'App Lock' is turned off in the iPhone app's setting, but then instead of just getting a notification your watch that there is an Authenticator request, you actually get the ability to approve or deny right from the watch.

But that doesn’t mean you can’t still authenticate from your watch. That’s my whole point. I’ve been authenticating from my phone because I also thought Microsoft getting rid of the Watch app meant you couldn’t approve from The Watch, which turns out to be false. That was the whole reason for me posting at all. You can still authenticate on the watch, through the notification that pops up from the phone app, as long as you have that setting I mentioned turned off.

Yeah just found out about this today, ran a search and landed here. Due to iPhone mirroring, I turned app lock off and I can approve the login through authenticator through my Apple Watch. Back to the good old days!
