Only Apple trolls make such statements.

No I'm just saying it's ironic when you consider how overwhelming the existing perception is about Microsoft. You have to wonder if Ballmer is finally learning from his bungling or just getting lucky?

A perception held by whom? ;)

Perception varies person to person.

Sort of like how fanboyism varies person to person.

Microsoft was once a top 5 brand, now is just top 10-15 while :apple: is most-liked when you look at surveys. Obviously Microsoft had a lot of legacy stuff holding them back, but where it's not they're achieving nice success(X-Box).

This goes without saying. I know many ps3 users who have simply abandoned the playstation platform after years of loyalty due to the psn crisis.

I don't use consoles, so I don't care.

I've had both PS3 and Xbox360 for many years, but after the latest fiasco, I'm never buying another PS3 game. Also, it ticks me off that many of the PS3 games that I've purchased and downloaded are unplayable without an active internet connection or PSN being up. I still use PS3 for Blueray and Netflix streaming (subtitle option is a plus for PS3), but that's about it.

Would any of this have happened if Sony had been more open about "hacking".

They are going to lose huge amount of revenue/profit over this now and in the future.
