Holy...
You just made me spit up my Diet Pepsi all over the trackpad.
I guess Microsoft couldn't find a sexier machine to run it on.
About what?jaxstate said:Thing is. MS has nothing to lose by doing this.

CanadaRAM said:When a Mac user installs Windows, that is a Retail version of Windows (not bundled, not upgrade, not discounted), plus the application software sale, and Microsoft automatically makes 2 - 3 times the profit.
CanadaRAM said:Don't forget, lads and lasses, that Microsoft makes relativlely little money on the OEM versions of Windows that are bundled with Wintel machines.

Spanky Deluxe said:This is wonderful. Soon it'll be "Microsoft recommends genuine Apple hardware for Windows Vista"!!
I for one havent heard anything about bulging batteries, ultra-heat, wierd animal noises, discoloration and a soaring pricetag to boot from any of the comanies you listed. Im not saying they are the best, or better, im just wanting you to reevaluate your statement.Josias said:Why not? Everyone knows Apple make better computers (and of course software ) than Dell, HP, Fujitsu Siemens, Sony, LG, Acer and so on. MacBook Pro for example is fully compatible with all Vista graphic userinterface features.
SpaceMagic said:Apple make the best hardware and Microsoft Windows is just software, not hardware. MS aren't stuck with PCs, so... why not
Chrispy said:Have you guys read the comments that go along with the posts? There are some serious macbashers on that thing haha.
Bern said:Yea, it's funny really how the inferiority complex kicks in for Mac users whenever a Mac defect is mentioned. They always come out defensively kicking and screaming and labeling us before we even open our mouths. It is understandable though, no one wants to look like a fool paying more for inferior hardware.
Bern said:Well I guess by the time MS have Vista working we'll be running Intel chips that haven't even been heard of yet and of course the windows fanboys will think they have something better and newer.
Not to be a fanboy, it's just I'm sure those companies have the same hardware problems too.Senater Cache said:I for one havent heard anything about bulging batteries, ultra-heat, wierd animal noises, discoloration and a soaring pricetag to boot from any of the comanies you listed. You do realize that some of the manufactures you listed are/will offer SLI GPUs right?
My Powermac G5 is built like a tank. But the G5 is so innefficient that 60% of the huge ass case is wind tunnel / heatsink. This leaves only 2 HDD bays and 1 5.25 Bay that is already populated. For a desktop which should emphasize upgradability, the Powermac G5 is an utter failure. Not to say that it isnt beatuiful and sturdy.
In a $2000+ system form should follow function.

It's just none of their customers whine about it on websites.
