wow....after going through the whole site i almost wanted a pc.....

A pity, as none of my Win 7 PC can connect to the TV right out of the box or do most of that other stuff. And the part that "Macs are hard to learn", probably untrue. The only way to test that is to get a person that has never use Windows or Mac or even seen a computer and ask them which is easier to use.

Cheeky. I have to applaud the timing after Apple pulled that stunt with the death grip page.

Although in general I'm not interested in anti-marketing. It's bad taste, but this fits the bill nicely for now.

Apple has been doing it for years. And they are making good points.

Hopefully Apple learns from it and improves.

At least those were mostly true though. Sure they were somewhat deceiving and targeted towards the misunderstanding crowd, but most of the points were true.

There are a few valid points on the site but most of it isn’t true at all. For example: “Things just don’t work the same way on Macs... For example, the mouse works differently”

Well compare some one going from XP or Vista to windows 7. It is easier for them to switch to windows 7 than to switch to OSX. The learning curve for OSX is a lot steeper for the person than going to windows 7.
Remember very few Apple users are going to be switch from OSX to Windows 7. I have watch quite a few apple users struggle in the past when having to use a windows box when they hardly ever use them.

Same goes the other way as well.

It's a shame they don't mention that Macs are PCs, and that Macs can run Windows.

Unfortunately the ultramobile laptop field stills sucks.

This is what I want:

• Decent graphics
• Better than 1280x800 resolution
• 5hr or better real life battery
• less than 4.5lbs
• Trackpoint or *really good* touchpad

Three contenders come close:
Lenovo X201s has everything except for good graphics. I'm not taking Intel integrated graphics as an answer.
Sony Vaio Z (2010-era) has everything except for a good touchpad. Also, the price shatters my bank account.
MacBook Pro/Air has everything except for the resolution. 1280x800 is too lame for my 20/13 vision.

Blargh.

I`ve only been a Mac user for about a week and the switch wasn`t hard at all.
I love the way they even used the "it just works" thing in reference to the PC-super cheeky.
Still, Apple have been doing the same thing for years, however as the minority player they do have to try harder to woo people over from the PC "norm" I suppose.

I think Apple should be pleased that MS are increasingly seeing them as a threat rather than an annoyance.

Under "simplicity":

Things just don't work the same way on Macs if you're used to a PC. For example, the mouse works differently.

Under "sharing":

At least half the fun of having a computer is sharing the stuff that matters to you with other people. This is harder to do on a Mac.

Any my favorite one, under "choice":

Macs only come in white or silver. PCs are available in a full spectrum of colors across a range of price points.

For instance, on the Mac, the mouse moves a black arrow. You're used to a white arrow, so it may throw you off a bit.

Sounds like a brilliant piece of software that can effectively block all of the important information on a single page.

On a Mac, out of the box, you can only encrypt your home folder. With Windows 7 Ultimate, you can encrypt your entire hard drive and even USB drives. So your stuff can be safer wherever you go.

This is a lie! You can go into disk utility and password protect anything, you can even make little disks that act as flash drives that can be password protected.
