Did anyone else see this?

I can understand Office 2010 (for Windows), but why Office 2016 for Mac also?

In a reissued statement, Microsoft has reiterated its intention to end support for both Office 2010 for the PC and Office 2016 for the Mac as of Oct. 13, 2020.

Microsoft is wanting everyone to go to subscription. Non-365 versions are now becoming not able to be activated if you reinstall. Had it happen to a few of my older 2010 versions. Microsoft said that I had installed and reinstalled my version too much. They said there is an actual limit to how many times you can reactivate your software (uninstall and reinstall). I was upset, but what can I do. I did not see THAT on their license agreement, but hey...they can now do whatever they want since everyone (including the Government) is strapped to their software.

I'm not a fan of subscription model, but Office 365 is different. It's actually a great value if you actually need Office apps. Add on that you get 1TB oneDrive, it's great.

The only times I see how paying for Office 365 to be not great is if you actually don't use the Office apps that much. For these type of users, I'll just recommend Google Docs. Free, and it gets the job done. Sometimes people overvalued their needs, thinking that they need the full MS Office suite. Oh, and web versions of Microsoft Office is also free to use. :) So plenty of options for free.
