What do you think?

Do you really think MS Office 2004 for £20 is a legitimate price?
Think you're going to get a legal product or even a usable one?

If you're still a student, get a legit educational version instead.

Yes tiger is compatible with microsoft office. I would try and get someone with a student id and get that educational disscount and get from your local apple store.

When (i mean IF but I'm optimistic!) I get a Mac, I'm downloading Oo_Org 2.0 right away... I have Office 2003 right now and its amazing but I got that from a friends new PC and I have Office 2000 Premium for all programs that lacks and my dad got that for like $300 and its 100% worth it...

Right now download Oo_Org and save up for Office 2004... like put $25/mo. away for office and like 5 or 6 months later, Office 2004 in a shiny box will be on your desk with the CD in the Mac installing...

Oo_Org is definately no substitute for Office 2004... Office is the greatest product Microsoft ever made - and I like it better on a mac than its naitive OS.

I'm still running Office v.X. It purrs on Tiger, and is most likely cheaper on eBay than Office 2004.

I got lucky...

My university sold me a brand new copy of the standard version of Office 2004 for Mac for $75... quite a deal... schools get the best deals, so try to find a school and pretend you go to it if you're not enrolled...

A lot of the software for sale on ebay is pirated. Basically if the auction says 'CD and serial number only' and it's going for twenty quid then it's most likely not legitimate. You can get a genuine copy of the v.X version of office for a reasonable price though.

It's your choice as to whether you want to buy pirated software. It's against the law and ebay retains details of all trades but the software will most likely work. Wanna risk it?
