There are some reports that VMs with Windows 10 1809 aren’t immune to the particular file-deletion bug that seems to be in play here. Just as an added safety measure, I have at least temporarily disabled the default in Parallels Desktop to share files and folders between the Mac and the VM on which I have 1809 installed.

Boot Camp users with 1809, you may want to check your setups, too.

Been not checking updates for multiple weeks. All good here. Windows 10 enterprise.

Interesting.. Perhaps due to emulated software? VMWare Tools in Fusion wold handle the networking/video drivers, but all the rest are mostly the same. Windows Explorer would not function in difference ways just because its inside a VM. perhaps on a shared folder with the Mac
