"I would be surprised if there was definitive evidence that nothing like this was not kicking around," he said.
The big problem that Microsoft faced in doing away with Windows, he said, was how to re-make its business to cope.

So the OS will be smaller more efficient when the web is more robust… so what?

The Java machine, an idea ahead of its time ... and an idea ripe for MS to steal.

Though I can see where this fits in with nobody owning SW, just renting it from MS servers.
