Microsoft Streets & Trips w/ GPS?

Has anyone been able to get these programs working with any of the Windows solutions for the Mac? There's a funky USB driver that makes the USB port look like a serial port so that Streets and Trips will recognize the GPS receiver. I suspect that this won't work with CrossOver, but may work with Parallels and BootCamp. I was hoping that someone has tried it.

There doesn't seem to be a good alternative to Streets and Trips on the Mac and this is one program that would be great to run in the Parallels environment so you could get mobile access to the mapping functionality without rebooting.

Not sure about Streets and Trips, but DeLorme Street Atlas USA 2006 (with the GPS) runs great with Boot Camp. Supposedly, their GPS works with Streets and Trips too.

You didn't say, but I assume you are using BootCamp also? Has anyone been able to run these programs in Parallels? I'm wondering if the USB port will work with the GPS unit.

my mac is an older ibook g4, so i can't run intel software, but i bought it for my older notebook (pc) and now i want to use my gps unit w/ mac.. does anyone knows how i can use it?

MS S&T2005 does not see globalsat BT338 bluetooth GPS reciever if I use via Parallels. It works flawlessly when I use it via bootcamp.

yeah I used to run power pc on my ibook and hook up my cheap usb gps unit form ebay to it to run ms streets, you should be able to specify the vpc to route the gps usb to a usb port on the vpc quite easily
